ouch ouch – how painful it was seeing all those unflown CU stretched over the Ardennes as far as the eye can see during the briefing and whilst the OBGN pack was being towed up. But once I was airborne, the eye pain suddenly disappeared and o what a joy! Going South to Reims was a regale! The second half of the last leg was difficult and sluggish – the CU were dying and it was hard to find a last bit of energy. Very enjoyable flight. A day off well spent!
